Unify, a leading communications software and services firm, today announced it has selected tekVizion Labs, a global leader in interoperability testing, as an independent third-party test partner to certify SIP Service Providers with Unify’s OpenScape Voice solutions. Working with tekVizion will enable Unify to expedite and ensure consistency and quality of its certification criteria for SIP Service Providers.

With major telecommunication providers worldwide announcing phase out plans for their digital networks in favor of all IP networks, the need for SIP certification is increasing. Unify sees this activity as twofold – support for evolution of the SIP Connect standard and rigorous interoperability testing to ensure compliance to the standards.
