tekVizion Showcases Live Demonstrations of Innovative,
Bundled Services at Fall VON Conference
Integrated, Multi-Vendor Solutions used in Live Demonstrations
RICHARDSON, TX (Oct. 5, 2004) – tekVizion™
PVS, Inc., the new standard for systems integrators, announced
today they will be demonstrating bundles of several service ideas
working across a live IP network during Fall VON, Oct. 18 to 21.
In addition, tekVizion’s CEO and founder, Leland Phillips,
will speak as part of a panel on “Roaming Between WiFi and
GSM Networks,” Wednesday, Oct. 20, 8:30 to 9:45 a.m.
Those attending the highly regarded industry conference may visit
tekVizion’s booth (No. 504) to experience some of the 99
next-generation, integrated services outlined in the firm’s
innovative book, Vizionary Services, to be published during Fall
VON.
tekVizion is using their core capabilities and expertise in designing,
integrating and testing multi-vendor, next generation solutions
to demonstrate these innovative service bundles. tekVizion will
be demonstrating service bundles for enterprise, commercial, residential,
and mobile markets.
Visitors to the booth will also be able to see the details of
how service providers can create and bundle these types of services.
Below are two of the service bundles tekVizion will be demonstrating
at the show.
- Commercial Service Bundle for Retail
- Find a Specialist Service – Customers use
an in-store, touch-screen kiosk to locate remote specialists
to answer their product questions via video conferencing.
- Manufacture Content Push – The retail kiosk
can also be used to access product information such as specifications
from the manufacturer. During the video conference between
the remote specialist and the customer, the specialist can
“push” this information to be displayed on the
kiosk.
- Video Conferencing - Video conferencing is used
to allow face-to-face communications between the customer
and the off-site specialist.
- Residential Service Bundle for Families
- Teen Talk Time Plus - Through a single, easy-to-use
GUI, parents can control their teenager’s phone, Internet
usage and video privileges, including setting access times
or temporarily disabling one or more services. The service
also allows parents to control and review Video on Demand
purchases, which will also be demonstrated.
- Hosted Residential VoIP
- High-Speed Internet Access
- Video on Demand
“The technology and products are available right now to
develop and deploy any or all of these next-gen services,”
Phillips said. “Often, what is holding carriers back is
the complexity of integration, interoperability, and customization
of new or existing services. This is where we come in. We help
service providers overcome the technical challenges of bringing
new services to market.”
