tekVizion Labs Adds IMS Conformance Testing,
Other New Services
Firm Heeds Customer Demand as Market Moves
Toward IP Multimedia Subsystem Networks
BOSTON (Sept. 12, 2005) – tekVizion™
PVS, Inc., the new standard for systems integration, today announced
that tekVizion Labs™ has added IMS conformance testing and
other new services in response to growing market demand for capabilities
designed to speed deployments and strengthen the reliability of
next-generation networks.
Already well known for its VoIP testing expertise, tekVizion
Labs now can verify products designed for IMS networks, including
testing to IMS specifications, testing interoperability among
IMS components, and certification of third-party applications
into trusted IMS networks.
IMS holds great promise as a common foundation enabling MVNOs,
wireless and wireline network operators to deliver traditional
and multimedia services over any access channel using virtually
any type of device. However, IMS is still an emerging set of technologies,
and there are many different product and architectural options
for implementing IMS.
In addition, tekVizion Labs has also added the following to its
service offering:
- PBX-IP/PBX interoperability testing to assure successful interoperability
between legacy and VoIP networks and between disparate VoIP
systems.
- Third-party certification/validation testing on behalf of
organizations or businesses that already have their own specifications
or programs in place, but need implementation support, or need
to augment their own resources, in the development and execution
of these programs.

Established in March of 2005, tekVizion Labs already has 14 customers
and 13 Premier Tenants which are vendors who have designated tekVizion
Labs as an authorized testing facility. Premier Tenants’
products remain in the Labs and are available so that other vendors
or service providers may remote test or contract with tekVizion
Labs to perform product interoperability or solution testing using
the Premier Tenant(s)’ products.
