tekVizion Labs Launches Verification Program

Facility Supports, Extends Vendors’ Testing
RICHARDSON, TX (March 14, 2006) – tekVizion™ PVS,
Inc., the new standard for systems integration, announced today
that tekVizion Labs has established a verification program for
voice-over-IP (VoIP) and IMS communications product vendors to
complement its certification program.
Clients of tekVizion Labs who want to use the facility to implement
their own test plans and testing programs will have the opportunity
to earn tekVizion Labs verification, according to Terri Griffin,
tekVizion President and COO.
Products will be verified instead of certified if the tekVizion
Labs’ client:
- Uses another company’s test plan other than tekVizion’s;
- Implements its own testing procedure(s);
- And/or controls which products pass or fail.
“tekVizion Labs provides an important extension of Level
3’s test capability,” said Craig Schlagbaum, vice
president of channel development for Level 3. “This
expanded test capability means Level 3 can bring more traffic
onto the network faster and with greater reliability.”

testing, certification and verification for VoIP and IMS products
and services. To be certified, products must pass rigorous testing. Depending
on the type of product and its function in a converged network,
testing may include IMS conformance, SIP conformance, negative
testing scenarios like SIP torture testing, redundancy and security
features evaluation, and call feature interoperability. tekVizion
Labs offers certification or verification between two products
or in a multi-product solution, and all lab services are available
to vendors and service providers.
