tekVizion Hires Telecom Veteran as VP/Solutions

Dan Davidson’s IMS Background Enhances
Systems Integrator’s Expertise
RICHARDSON, TX (March 13, 2006) – tekVizion™ PVS,
Inc., the new standard for systems integration, today said it
has named telecommunications veteran Dan Davidson to the position
of vice president of solutions engineering.
In this position, Davidson leads the company's solutions
architecture team. He is also responsible for all pre-
and post-sales support efforts including technical marketing,
systems architecture and solution delivery.
“Dan’s strong telephony and IMS background makes
him a great fit for the company,” said Sach Vengurlekar,
tekVizion CEO. “He will help tekVizion lead customers through
the complexities of adapting to rapidly changing communications
technologies.”
Before joining tekVizion, Davidson held various technical and
management positions in engineering, sales engineering, and marketing
at Ulticom, Inc. He managed the company’s overall
product strategy for IMS signaling protocols and services for
fixed, wireless, and next-generation networks. Davidson has extensive
experience in protocols such as Parlay/OSA, SS7/SIGTRAN, and
SIP. Most recently, he helped take to market Ulticom’s
IMS and Diameter products.
Prior to Ulticom, Davidson was vice president of development
at DGM&S, Inc., where he managed custom software development
efforts for GTE Telephone Operations and Comverse Network Systems. He
was also responsible for the successful delivery of prepaid solutions
to GSM operators in France and Israel. Davidson also has held
a technical position at Loral Aerospace Corp. in Akron, Ohio.
Davidson
earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering
(BSEE) from The University of Akron in Ohio.
